Explore More About Anawangin:
San Antonio, Zambales used to be a small quiet fishing village until the Internet discovered the beautiful Anawangin Cove. The once sleepy fishing village of Pundaquit in particular was jerked awake by tourism. Many fishermen today double as boatmen taking tourists to the municipality’s cloistered beaches. And it all started with Anawangin Cove. While it’s not the only Zambales tourist spot there is, Anawangin surely is the most popular (and most beautiful) attraction, at least for us.
If you’re someone who fancies white sand beach, quiet and relaxing ambiance, a simple way of living, no Internet, just you and nature, then Anawangin will not disappoint you. This cove is not like any other.
To get to Anawangin from Cubao, ride a Victory Liner bus going to Iba, Zambales, and alight at San Antonio Public Market. Alternatively, you may also travel by bus to Olongapo City, and then board another bus to San Antonio. Upon arrival at San Antonio, take a tricycle to Pundaquit and rent a boat to Anawangin beach.
Absolutely a must for those of you who are crazy about mountains and beaches and everything in between. Boat rides, beach bumming, camping, mountain climbing, etc. Just go see it yourself!
