ITINERARY
DAY 1: Manila-Dumaguete (L)
Take a short flight to Dumaguete from Manila. Upon arrival, transfer to Forest Camp, a highland resort located in Valencia, at the foothills of Mt. Talinis. After lunch, proceed to Silliman University. Drive through the busy streets of the city, passing by the public market, the Provincial Capitol Building, and Rizal Boulevard. Visit the bell tower of the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria.
Carry on to Negros Oriental Arts and Heritage, a handicraft store and factory that specialize in terms made out of petrified stones. Close by is a small abaca-weaving center and Bacong Church. Check-in overnight.
DAY 2: Dolphin Watching and Sandbar Tour (B, L)
After breakfast, we travel north to Bais City on board an outrigger boat. Stop briefly at Talubong Mangrove Island then head straight to Campuyo White Sandbar while we scour the sea for dolphins. Lunch in a local restaurant. Back to the hotel.
DAY 3: APO Snorkeling and Trekking Fun (B, L)
Breakfast then set off for an APO Island snorkeling. From Malatapay- the take-off point, where a boat will whisk you off to APO Island. We will take you to the turtle point, where you can swim with the turtles. Lunch is at the rustic Apo Island Beach Resort or cozy Liberty's Resort. And if you're still up for it, we challenge you to a 30-minute trek to the Habagat Trail where you'll be rewarded with a panoramic view of the coastline and marine sanctuary.
Spend the rest of the day swimming, beachcombing or just lazing at the white pebble beach before heading back to the mainland by mid-afternoon. On days when the waves are rough and choppy, we suggest leaving earlier for APO, so you can return to the mainland sooner. Overnight in the resort.
DAY 4: Dumaguete-Siquijor (B)
Enjoy the day at leisure while waiting for a transfer to the seaport onboard a ferry bound for the mystical island of Siquijor. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure.
DAY 5: Siquijor (B, L)
After breakfast, we discover the mystical island paradise of Siquijor, also known as "the island of fire" which refers to the eerie luminescence produced by swarms of fireflies nestled among the foliage of Molave trees. A rolling tour of the St. Francis de Assisi Bell Tower and San Juan de Capilay spring, before visiting the century-old Balate tree in Lazi. In the historical town of Lazi, we will marvel at the century-old St. Isidore Labrador Church and Convent.
For the fit and adventurous, we hike down 300+ steps to take a dip at the Cambugahay Falls, a three-tiered falls. Next, we drive to Triad for lunch and enjoy a panoramic view of Siquijor. Head back to the resort. The rest of the day is free for leisure. Overnight at the resort.
DAY 6: Siquijor (B)
Free time at leisure. Overnight at the resort.
DAY 7: Siquijor-Dumaguete-Manila (B)
Breakfast at the resort. Transfer to the domestic airport for the return flight to Manila.
